The transfer portal saga of Jaden Rashada continues, and where the quarterback might eventually wind up continues to be an area of interest.

The former Arizona State star who wound up at Georgia for the 2024 season entered the portal this offseason and reportedly had contact with a trio of Group of 5 programs. He was also reportedly set to visit Bill Belichick’s North Carolina program this week, but that appears to be off.

According to Chris Hummer with CBS Sports/247 Sports, Rashada is no longer visiting Chapel Hill. If Rashada is indeed pivoting away from considering the Tar Heels, it will be interesting to see where Rashada winds up for his new home after already experiencing a tumultuous path in college football.

As a true freshman in 2023, Rashada appeared in 3 games for Arizona State and threw for 485 yards and 4 touchdowns with 3 interceptions. He eventually transferred to Georgia, where he sat behind incumbent starter Carson Beck and backup QB Gunner Stockton for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs.

Rashada originally signed with Florida in the 2023 recruiting class before eventually requesting his release due to an NIL fallout with the Gators. Now, he’s looking for his 4th program ahead of his 3rd season in college football, and it’s still clouded in uncertainty where that next program will be.
