Jahki Howard has announced his highly anticipated commitment date.

The 4-star Overtime Elite small forward will make his college decision today at 12:30 p.m. EST from a list of finalists that includes Auburn, Arkansas, Arizona State, and Georgia Tech, according to On3.

Howard is deemed by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 19 small forward and No. 76 overall prospect in the nation.

Howard shares his thoughts on Auburn and head coach Bruce Pearl.

“That’s close to the family. Bruce Pearl is a intense guy. That’s the type of person I’m like,” Howard said to On3. “I’m like I like to yell. I like to play defense and the energy. He likes to energize and I love that. I love him as a coach.”

Howard previously also shared fondness for Arkansas and head coach Eric Musselman.

“I love coach Muss. That’s my guy. That’s my guy for sure. I recently got the offer. They came to watch me workout and he offered me,” Howard said to On3. “We sat on the phone for like 30, 40 minutes just talking. I love his, his energy and the way he just treats people.”

247Sports Recruiting Analyst Brandon Jenkins sees major potential for Howard.

“He is very long, athletic, and disruptive on the defensive end,” Jenkins said. “Howard plays hards in spurts and is productive on both ends when doing so.”
