Jake Bentley catching heat from frustrated South Carolina fans following loss to Kentucky

It’s easy for anyone to play armchair quarterback after a loss. In the 21st century, it may be even easier to play keyboard quarterback. For many South Carolina fans sitting at home or on their phones Saturday night and early Sunday, quarterback Jake Bentley was the decided upon target for most of the heat.
A quick look at his stat line from the Gamecocks 24-10 loss to Kentucky shows why. He completed just 13 of 28 passes for 148 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions. His only true highlight came on a 58-yard touchdown pass to Deebo Samuel.
Combine that with falling to 2-2 on the season and a 1-2 record in the SEC and it was a perfect mixture for Bentley to feel the heat on social media.
It wasn’t a pleasant experience for Bentley if he decided to search his name. Fans and others compared him to drunk Stephen Garcia and an unconscious Clemson quarterback among other things.
Take a look at some of the insults thrown his way recently on Twitter:
Jake Bentley is ass, him and his father can hit the fucking road for all I care

Is it bad that I'm looking at that graphic and looking at Jake Bentley's numbers and wishing South Carolina hadn't forced McIlwain out?
