Jake Fromm’s career is taking a massive change of course.
The Buffalo Bills announced that they had released the former Georgia star on their Twitter account on Wednesday evening. Fromm was a fifth-round pick by the Bills in the 2020 NFL Draft after he decided to forgo his final season of college eligibility.

Fromm had a strong preseason for the Bills, so his release was a bit of a surprise.
Fromm had plenty of success at Georgia. He won an SEC Championship, the Sugar Bowl and the Rose Bowl. Fromm was often referred to as “Jake Fromm State Farm,” which was a nickname from the popular State Farm Insurance commercial. He has had the nickname since he was in high school.
