Jake Johnson is back with someone he’s quite familiar with after committing to North Carolina on Monday.
Jake is now back with brother Max Johnson after the pair played football together at Texas A&M. With Drake Maye entering the 2024 NFL Draft, Max decided to head to Chapel Hill to compete for the starting quarterback job.
Johnson led all Texas A&M tight ends with 235 yards receiving this season. He accounted for 4 touchdowns as well.

The Johnson brothers have been on the same team for a while, dating back to their high school days. Jake was an LSU commit before he ultimately flipped to Texas A&M when Max left the Tigers via the portal. History is repeating itself again in Chapel Hill.
There’s more room in the Tar Heels’ tight end room after Kamari Morales opted to transfer to Boston College. Morales competed for snaps with tight ends John Copenhaver and Bryson Nesbit.
North Carolina (8-4) faces West Virginia (8-4) in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl on Dec. 27.
