What everyone is saying about Jalen Hurts’ comments at Alabama’s media day
By SDS Staff
Published:
Jalen Hurts has been silent all summer about Alabama’s QB competition and speculation about his potential transfer; however, the Tide signal caller opened up about it Saturday at Alabama’s media day.
And he didn’t hold back.
When speaking to the media, Hurts expressed his frustration candidly about the way Alabama has handled the communication of all the noise. It appears the Tide’s coaching staff never addressed the situation with Hurts, at least, and he indicated the staff just hoped it would all blow over as opposed to getting it out in the open and discussing it.

Here’s what media members are saying about his comments:
You could tell Jalen Hurts gave thought to what he said today. He hasn’t been happy with the narrative of the QB battle and finally got the opportunity to say so. Story posting soon with his comments.

Seems to me that Jalen Hurts has lost some respect for Nick Saban and his overhauled coaching staff. Not good considering Hurts is one of the most respected players on the team. Maybe not as big of a concern if the majority of the team wants Tua to play

Good for Jalen Hurts. Lack of communication only makes the issue worse and having an 'elephant in the room' is toxic for any program, even Alabama ?

We all say we want guys to speak their mind.
Jalen Hurts appears to have done just today that re: the last few months of “narrative” (his word) re: the Alabama QB competition. https://t.co/Vs8zPnlSp5

considering the attention that has been given to him, jalen hurts has still handled this whole situation with dignity and respect. let him say what he wants to, he’s earned it.

Speaking of players being in a bubble, Alabama QB Jalen Hurts is upset that the school tried to muzzle him. Athletic departments regularly do players a disservice like this. This is one reason why many believe it's an employer-employee relationship. https://t.co/ua5MvgS67K
