Jalen Hurts is now a Super Bowl champion, leading the Philadelphia Eagles to the title-winning victory over the Kansas City Chiefs with 3 total touchdowns in Super Bowl 59.

One of Hurts’s touchdowns came on the ground, something that is not entirely surprising given his dual-threat ability. The former Alabama football and Oklahoma football star even led the Eagles in rushing yards during the big game, but his touchdown came form a short-yardage situation.

The short-yardage package for Philadelphia has become increasingly effective in recent seasons with a massive offensive line and Hurts running a play that has been identified as the “Tush Push” by some broadcasters and fans alike. It’s called that because the Eagles use offensive players behind Hurts to essentially shove the QB toward a first down or the end zone.

However, Hurts says he does not refer to that play by its widely recognized moniker.

“It’s not what I call it,” said Hurts during an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.

Asked to identify what the play is called by the QB, Hurts offered a wry smile and said he’s not going there:

“You know, I’m not going to say what I call it, but it’s not that,” admitted Hurts to a round of laughter from the audience. “Everybody came up with their own name for it. The Brotherly Shove, the Tush Push, all these different things. It’s not that.”

“I was shocked, too,” admitted Saquon Barkley who was also on set. “Because when I got there, I had known it as the Tush Push, but I didn’t know if that’s what it would be called. But I thought it was called that, and it’s not called the Tush Push, actually.”

So, what is Hurts’s name for the play? That will remain a mystery, but it’s something that continues to provide major dividends for the QB and the Eagles.
