Jalen Milroe, Arch Manning highlight SEC’s Players of the Week for Week 3

The SEC released its Players of the Week honors for Week 3 and a few notable names highlighted the list.
On the offensive side, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe and Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart shared the honor after they both delivered stellar performances on the road.

Milroe accounted for 5 of total touchdowns ( 3 passing, 2 rushing), leading the Crimson Tide to a statement road win over Wisconsin in Madison.
Dart continued his flaming hot start to 2023, throwing for 377 yards and 3 touchdowns, while adding another score with his legs. Saturday’s blowout win over Wake Forest marked Dart’s 10th game with over 300 passing yards at Ole Miss, tying him with Eli Manning for the fifth-most in program history.
On the defensive side, LSU DE Bradyn Swinson shared the Week 3 honor with Georgia LB Raylen Wilson, who both came through huge for their teams with the game on the line.
Swinson played a pivotal role in LSU’s comeback win at South Carolina with 5 tackles, including 3 sacks for a total loss of 23 yards. He had 2 sacks in the 4th quarter in critical moments, forcing a fumble on one that was recovered by the Tigers.
Wilson finished the win over Kentucky with 5 tackles and a 28-yard sack and forced fumble that led to UGA’s first points of the game.
Mizzou kicker Blake Craig picked up special teams honors for Week 3, connecting on 4 field goals and an extra point.
Texas A&M OL Trey Zuhn III was the SEC Offensive Linemen of the Week, anchoring the Aggies offensive front at left tackle during a dominating performance over Florida.
Defensive line honors were shared by Ole Miss DL Jared Ivey and Georgia’s Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, who both had several disruptive plays in their Week 3 victories.
Finally, SEC Freshman of the Week was awarded to both Arch Manning (Texas) and Marcel Reed (Texas A&M). The young quarterbacks were both thrown into the fire to replace injured starters and thrived on the big stage.
