Jalen Milroe is months away from beginning his professional football career.
The multi-year Alabama starter is considered one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft class and many are intrigued by the QB’s athleticism. Milroe is set to play in the 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl on Saturday and will look to impress NFL scouts and executives.
Ahead of the showcase, Milroe was asked about comparisons of himself to NFL star Lamar Jackson. Jackson is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and one of the most prolific dual-threats the league has ever seen, so that’s high praise for Milroe.
“That’s inspiring for sure as a young QB (to be compared to Jackson),” said Milroe. “That definitely puts a smile to my face. I definitely love watching Lamar. Secretly, I’m actually a Ravens fan. I grew up a Ravens fan so I pull for the Ravens.”
Milroe earned the comparisons after an incredible 2024 season. The QB threw for 2,844 yards with 16 TDs and 11 INTs while rushing for 726 yards and 20 rushing scores. Army’s Bryson Daily was the only QB to rush for more scores than Milroe in 2024.
In his Alabama career, Milroe played in 38 games for the Tide and threw for 6,016 yards with 45 TDs and 20 INTs. Milroe ended his career with 1,577 rushing yards and 33 rushing scores.
Milroe declaring himself a Ravens fan could end up being awkward. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns, division rivals of the Ravens, are teams that are reported to be in the mix for a quarterback.
