Jameis Winston has signed a 2-year contract with the New York Giants, according to a report.

That news was first reported by NFL insider Tom Pelissero on Friday evening. Per the report, Winston’s deal is worth $8 million over 2 years.

The 2025 season will be Winston’s 11th in the NFL. He’s previously played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the New Orleans Saints and the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Browns last season and started 7 games for the team.

The Giants have an uncertain quarterback situation after moving on from former 1st-round pick Daniel Jones last season. Winston is a potential starter for New York, but he could also serve as a mentor to a rookie quarterback if New York chooses to draft a signal-caller with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The former Florida State Heisman Trophy winner has thrown for 24,225 yards in his NFL career so far. He’s also tossed 154 touchdown passes in total since turning pro. His most-prolific season to-date was in 2019 when he led the NFL with 5,109 passing yards and threw 30 touchdown passes as well.
