Former Alabama wide received Jameson Williams was expected to be sidelined for the greater part of the 2022 season since he had suffered an ACL injury before being selected by the Detroit Lions in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

But now, it looks like he has a real shot at playing time at some point this season.

“No, there’s still hope [he’ll play during the 2022 season]. He’s put together a pretty good month — a real good month,” head coach Dan Campbell said in his Wednesday press conference. “We feel like we’re going to have him before this season’s out.

“It’s hard to say when that’s going to be. I would say, at least probably another month. But I do feel like we’re going to get him before this is said and done.”

It will be interesting to see hone he takes the field as he continues to make what sounds like good headways. The Lions face the Miami Dolphins up next on the schedule on Sunday.
