Jaxson Dart found himself in a house of horrors in the fourth quarter against Florida on Saturday.

In a 24-17 loss, Dart threw 3 interceptions in the final 2 minutes of the game as Ole Miss saw its College Football Playoff dreams go up in smoke. The first one came with 90 seconds to play. Dart took a first-and-10 snap from just inside the Florida 40 and fired deep into triple coverage. Florida’s Bryce Thornton snagged the overthrown ball in the endzone.

Ole Miss forced a quick 3-and-out and got the ball back for the offense, but it was for not. Dart was picked off by Florida’s Dijon Johnson with 24 seconds on the clock. Officials eventually overturned the call, ruling that Johnson did not maintain possession through the ground.

On the very next play, Dart was picked off again by Thornton to officially end things.

Dart finished the day 24-for-41 for 323 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 official interceptions. He hit 10 of his first 12 passes but just 14 of his final 29. He was also sacked 4 times by the Gators. Ole Miss receivers finished with 5 drops as well.

After the game, though, Dart’s closing minutes were all anyone could focus on.
