Jaxson Dart has had a legendary career at Ole Miss. On Saturday, he added two passing records to his ledger.

Early in the 4th quarter against Middle Tennessee State, Dart completed a pass to Tre Harris, his 20th consecutive completion, to set a school record set by Matt Corral in 2020. Here’s the moment when it happened:

Later in the game, Dart made it 24 consecutive completions, setting an SEC record. He passed Tee Martin’s total of 23 set in 1998.

It was yet another overwhelming offensive performance for the Rebels, who blew past Middle Tennessee 52-3. Dart was 25-of-27 for 377 yards despite throwing just 1 touchdown. That’s because the Rebels did much of their scoring on the ground as Henry Parrish Jr. accounted for 4 of the team’s 6 rushing scores — part of a 42-carry, 258-yard afternoon for the unit.

The Ole Miss defense can’t be overlooked, though: it yielded just 28 yards on 25 carries.

But it was yet another terrific effort for Dart. He has passed for 795 yards through two games and has completed 47 of his 54 attempts.
