Jay Williams wants to see College GameDay head to Bud Walton Arena at some point during the 2023-2024 season.
Williams, an ESPN analyst, extended his campaign for it during the broadcast of the Syracuse-Duke game on Tuesday evening. Williams is a big fan of what Eric Musselman has done at Arkansas.
“I’m pushing to do a GameDay down there this year. Watching that place and what they’ve been able to accomplish down there,” said Williams. “Eric Musselman, the style in which he coaches, the pace of play, it’s really incredible to see.”
This first rose to national conversation when Arkansas knocked off Duke, 80-75, in November.
Jay Williams said he’s pushing to get College GameDay to Bud Walton Arena while calling the Duke-Syracuse game last night.

Dave O’Brien, the play-by-play voice on the call, agreed, and mentioned the kind of place the venue is for college basketball.
“I think that’s a great basketball town and a tremendous arena.” said O’Brien.
The Razorbacks’ next game will be with No. 25 Auburn as SEC play opens on Saturday. Other key upcoming ranked matchups will be against Ole Miss (Jan. 24), Kentucky (Jan. 27) and Tennessee (Feb. 14).
Arkansas is currently 9-4 heading into its next game with the Tigers. The Hogs are on a 3-game winning streak and return home. Tipoff from Bud Walton Arena will be at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
