Jayden Daniels and his family had the ultimate Tiger Stadium experience Saturday with LSU’s thrilling overtime win over division rival Alabama.
After the game, WAFB 9 caught up with Jayden Daniels’ father, Javon, to talk about a game the family will never forget.
Being here in Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night is surreal,” Javon Daniels told WAFB. “Getting to see him play and make plays and come up big at the end, it’s kind of hard to describe.”
LSU fans will never forget where they were watching Jayden complete the 2-point play to give the Tigers’ the 32-31 walk-off win.
“Shoutout to Coach (Brian) Kelly on that one. That’s a gutsy call,” Javon said in his TV interview. “Jayden said he wanted it. My counterpart, the head coach that I coach with, we always go for 2. So he texted me, he said, ‘We prepared him for that.'”
It’s going to be hard to top that 2-point play for Jayden Daniels, but he has the Tigers in the hunt to make 2022 a championship season.
