Jayden Daniels joins LSU royalty with pair of 50-yard runs against Florida
Jayden Daniels had a lights-out performance in LSU’s 52-35 win over Florida this past weekend.
What’s more impressive about Daniels’ performance is that it led to him joining a small list of players that accomplished a rare feat.
After ripping off a couple of big runs against the Gators last Saturday, Daniels became the 4th player in LSU football history to score 2 runs of 50+ yards in the same game. The senior is now part of a list that includes Leonard Fournette (2016), Billy Cannon (1958) and Billy Baggett (1950).
Lost in all the stats from Saturday night, @JayD__5 became just the 4th player in @LSUfootball history to score of 2 runs of 50+ yards in same game. Others: @_fournette vs. Ole Miss, 2016; Billy Cannon vs. Alabama, 1958; Billy Baggett vs. Ole Miss, 1950.
