LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels is getting his first chance to address the media, before the 2023 season kicks off in Orlando against Florida State.
On Monday with Matt Barrie on ESPN’s SportsCenter, Daniels took the chance to look back on his first season at LSU. Plus, what Brian Kelly’s offense has done for his game.

Daniels enters the 2023 season as one of the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy. He threw for 2,913 yards, 17 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions.
In addition to his success throwing the football last season, Daniels also accounted for 885 yards rushing. He also added 11 touchdowns with his legs.
There is reason for optimism in Baton Rouge this season, with Daniels back in the fold. You also have to factor in a loaded room of wide receivers that includes Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas Jr. and Karen Lacy.
The FSU game will be a great test for Daniels and this LSU team. This is especially the case, after the initial meeting in New Orleans last season went the Seminoles way.
The schedule sets up well for the Tigers to make a run at the College Football Playoff, if they can win that first game. Aside from their Nov. 4 visit to face Alabama in Tuscaloosa, the Tigers have Arkansas, Auburn, Florida and Texas A&M at Tiger Stadium.
