JC on the SEC: Vanderbilt on the rise, Jarrett Stidham’s slow start at Auburn

In the latest episode of “JC on the SEC,” Saturday Down South senior writer John Crist discusses Vanderbilt’s surprising 3-0 start.
Even though Commodores running back Ralph Webb has been held in check, quarterback Kyle Shurmur is finally all grown up and throwing it exceptionally well. On the other side of the ball, coach Derek Mason’s defense has been stellar once again.
But on The Plains, Jarrett Stidham hasn’t exactly set the world afore at the game’s most important position for Auburn. While the transfer from Baylor was expected to single-handedly take the Tigers to the next level with his natural arm talent, he hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass in either of his last two contests and has taken a lot of punishment.
Be sure to watch the video above for JC’s thoughts on those subjects, as well as his “Pick Six” segment that covers several other topics.
