Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen remains mum on Jeffery Simmons, but he said the school would address it this week sometime with a statement.

Simmons, a five-star defensive tackle from Macon, Miss., was allegedly involved in an altercation with a female, and he was charged with simple assault and disturbing the peace.
It appears that Simmons has enrolled at the university, as new signees are arriving on campus, first reported by Scout.com’s Steve Robertson, who tweeted out the following photo. He quickly deleted it, but SBNation’s For Whom The Cowbell Tolls caught the screen shot.

Simmons posted the following apology on Facebook in March after video of the incident surfaced.
