Jerrion Ealy and the Ole Miss Rebels had a rough night against the Baylor Bears in the Sugar Bowl.

The Rebels lost 21-7, and Ole Miss lost its best player in quarterback Matt Corral to a first-quarter injury. Needless to say, the offense wasn’t the same as it had been the entire season.

Following the Sugar Bowl loss, the Ole Miss running back announced to reporters that he was leaving for the 2022 NFL Draft. Ealy then made a post on Instagram detailing his decision for fans.

“After much prayer and thoughtful conversation with my family, I have decided to forego my senior year of eligibility and declare for the 2022 NFL Draft,” Ealy wrote. “I appreciate all of your continued support, and I can’t wait to make you proud at the next level.”

Ealy entered Ole Miss in the class of 2019 as a 5-star and the nation’s No. 3 overall running back. During his 3 years in Oxford, Ealy rushed for 2,237 yards and 20 touchdowns.
