Jesse Palmer receives Golden Bachelor backlash during ESPN broadcast of Auburn at LSU

Jesse Palmer is splitting duties this fall between ABC’s “Golden Bachelor” and college football broadcasts. During the Auburn at LSU game on ESPN, Palmer was criticized for his analysis.

LSU jumped out to a big lead, 17-0, before Auburn cut into the deficit as the halftime score was 20-7. LSU rang up more than 300 yards of offense, while Auburn mustered just over 100 in total yards, including less than 50 yards of passing.

Fans of both Auburn and LSU struggled to enjoy Palmer as they each described him as either biased or annoying. On one play, multiple people pointed out that Palmer described an impossible catch also a catch that a receiver needed to make.

Like other broadcaster criticisms, Palmer was compared to Gary Danielson, Beth Mowins and Robert Griffin III.
