Jim Boeheim releases statement following his involvement in deadly auto accident
If you missed the news earlier, Jim Boeheim was involved in a deadly automobile incident late Wednesday evening.
According to Syracuse.com, Boeheim struck and killed a man on the drive home following Syracuse’s win over Louisville. The victim was apparently involved in another auto accident and got out of his car to assess the damage to his vehicle when Boeheim struck the victim.
Boeheim was tested for alcohol following the accident but the result was a negative test.
Following the news, Boeheim has released the following statement:
“I am heartbroken that a member of our community died as the result of last night’s accident. Juli and I extend our deepest sympathies to the Jimenez family. Out of respect for those involved, I will not be providing further comment at this time.”
