All year long, college football coaches and pundits have struggled to describe No. 1 Alabama’s dominance in 2016.

Florida coach Jim McElwain’s assessment just might take the cake.

“There’s only been a couple times so far that I’ve become violently ill watching them,” McElwain quipped while discussing the Crimson Tide, his team’s SEC Championship Game opponent, during a Sunday night teleconference.

Alabama is the only undefeated Power 5 team this season, having romped over opponents by an average of 28 points per game. Only two teams — LSU and Ole Miss — played the Crimson Tide to within 10 points, and both of those games happened on the road.

Despite Nick Saban’s squad developing into an explosive offense, Alabama still boasts the best defense in the country. The Crimson Tide surrender just 11.4 points and 246.8 yards per game, which are both the best in FBS.

When asked how to provide his banged-up and often-sluggish offense against Alabama, McElwain again answered with a joke.

“I think first thing you do is don’t show them the film,” he said. “Those guys are pretty good.”
