Short and not so sweet.
That’s how Jim McElwain’s press conference seemed to go on Saturday night, after Florida fell to Florida State 31-13 in Tallahassee. The head coach took very little time to talk to the media, and the questions he did answer, had a bite to them.
Florida secured the SEC East championship and will make the trek to Atlanta for the conference title game against Alabama last week. Even though the Gators have won back-to-back East crowns, it didn’t make the loss to the Seminoles any less painful for McElwain.
Here were the answers to the limited questions Florida’s head coach took:
Mac: "I'm proud of those guys in that locker room. It hurts."

Jim McElwain on what went wrong: "We couldn't block, we couldn't protect. Turnovers."

McElwain on his team rebounding for Bama: "I don't know if they'll come back or not."

Mac going off on a reporter who asked if UF can bounce back: "To question that locker room and those players…"

And just in case you didn’t believe McElwain’s interview didn’t go well:

Angriest I've ever seen Mac at a post-game press conference. Stared down a couple reporters, offended by question on if UF can bounce back
