Ethan’s journey to college football has been a long one. He suffers from an extremely rare blood disorder called Fanconi anemia. There has been uncertainty about Ethan’s future when it comes to football, but he has made progress through the help of doctors and is now able to continuing playing at the next level.
“I am extremely proud and very happy,” Fisher said during the SEC coaches teleconference Wednesday. “There were some times (doctors were) not only saying he could never walk on a football field, but was he going to be here? … Very proud and love him so much.”
With his son now committed to play at the next level, Fisher is looking to find some success in Texas A&M’s remaining season. The Aggies take on Mississippi State in a crucial game this weekend.
