Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase have impressive practices with Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals are not putting pressure on their star quarterback and former LSU Tiger Joe Burrow. In Tuesday’s practice, however, Burrow and his former teammate, rookie WR Ja’Marr Chase, had solid days of work. According to the practice report of the Bengals, Burrow and Chase practiced like they were back in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Burrow completed 11 of his 15 passes in team drills, several of them going to Chase. The former Tigers connected on 3 touchdowns in goal-line plays during team periods. Bengals coaches and teammates praised Chase for his ability to get open through distinctive routes.
Burrow, on the other hand, was praised for his ability to scramble and continue to find his receivers. The Bengals awarded Burrow with the player of the day award on Tuesday. The Bengals are not looking to play Burrow until their final preseason game against the Miami Dolphins on Aug. 29.
Both Burrow and Chase already have a solid connection on and off the field. They will look to give the Bengals an elite passing offense during the 2021 NFL season.
