Joe Burrow’s father talks about LSU quarterback’s ‘unbelievable’ pregame Senior Day experience

A massive crowd was on hand last Saturday to see the LSU seniors play in their final games in Baton Rouge.
Most notable of all was Joe Burrow, and even though over 100,000 fans were in attendance, his biggest fans were on the field with him.
During an interview on “The Paul Finebaum Show” on Tuesday, Burrow’s father Jim, a former NFL and CFL defensive back and longtime college football assistant coach, spoke about seeing his son take the Tiger Stadium field for the final time.
“It’s unbelievable,” he said. “I’ve coached in some of the biggest stadiums around, played in some of the biggest stadiums around, but to stand there with Joe as his dad, with his mom there and basically our whole family, (with) over 100,000 people are cheering like they were for Joe…I’ve seen pictures the in last couple days of me, and that says it all, the big smile I had on my face. It’s something that you’ll remember forever. That whole night, we thought we’d be a little more emotional than we were, but the whole scene was shocking…We didn’t shed a lot of tears, but it was a great night.

LSU will play Georgia in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday in Atlanta.
