Joel Klatt has been arguably the biggest critic of the College Football Playoff committee this year.

Most notably, he believes that Alabama has been overvalued by the committee throughout the process.

The new College Football rankings were released Tuesday night, and on Wednesday’s edition of “The Joel Klatt Show,” the Fox Sports analyst offered his thoughts about how the teams were ranked.

And for this first time this year, Klatt believes the committee got things right with the top 4.

“Now we’ve got the new College Football Playoff rankings for this week and we can move forward with them,” Klatt said. “… So, let’s get into it, because I’ve got some specific thoughts on what we got from the committee Tuesday night.

“And, first things first, I actually think this is the first one of all the releases that I looked at it and I was like ‘you know what, they finally kind of did the right thing.’ I didn’t have much of a problem with what we got.”

Klatt, did, however, question the Crimson Tide’s ranking yet again, especially as it relates to where Tennessee was placed.

‘I know that there are Tennessee fans out there that are upset with Bama at 6,” Klatt said. “And listen, I kind of get it, right. As soon as you have a similar record, and by the way the same record, you should probably get the nod and the benefit of the doubt because of the head-to-head win. And I’m here for that because I think the games on the field should matter. … That would be kind of one of the olny ones that I’m like like, ‘Really?’ I don’t get it.”
