Joel Klatt reveals new top 10 after Week 3, including 5 SEC teams

Week 3 of the 2026 college football season is officially in the books, and the first quarter of regular-season action has created plenty of intrigue and significantly shaken up the sport’s early pecking order.
The SEC, in particular, has proven to be the deepest conference in the country early in the new campaign, a reality reflected in every official top 25 and power rankings list.
Fox Sports college football analyst Joel Klatt released his updated top 10 on Monday morning, and he, too, holds the SEC in extremely high regard, with half of his rankings coming from the conference.
Klatt’s updated rankings features 3 SEC squads in the top 4, with the Texas Longhorns coming in at No. 1, the Ole Miss Rebels at No. 2 following their massive win over LSU last Saturday, and the Georgia Bulldogs at No. 4. The Ohio State Buckeyes are the lone non-SEC squad in the top 4, sandwiched right between the Dawgs and the Rebels at No. 3.
He also has the LSU Tigers at No. 8, followed by the Alabama Crimson Tide at No. 9, rounding out the 5 SEC teams in his updated rankings. The other programs represented are the Miami Hurricanes at No. 5, Indiana Hoosiers at No. 6, Notre Dame Fighting Irish at No. 7, and the Utah Utes at No. 10.
Week 4 is set to feature another massive slate of primetime matchups around the country, so we may see Klatt change his rankings around once again come next Monday.
