Joel Klatt is among the many analysts who have given their thoughts on the situation surrounding Georgia and the state of the College Football Playoff Rankings after the first and second release of the rankings.

There is very much the sentiment that the Bulldogs have been slighted, especially after they defeated the Tennessee Volunteers, who were formerly placed at No. 6 in the College Football Playoff Rankings. After the latest rankings reveal, Klatt acknowledged that Georgia has a gripe, but he doesn’t want to wear politicking from any coach, including Kirby Smart.

“Kirby is a great coach. I think in a lot of cases, I would consider him one if not the best coaches in college football… I really love almost everything that he does, until we get into this mode.

“It happens incessantly. They just rant and rave about ‘You don’t know what these schedules are like.’ I’m sorry, I just can’t. Georgia should be rated higher than Miami. Maybe the committee is just tired of you whining after the games. That could be it. Because Georgia’s resume is outstanding… This is where I would agree with Kirby. Kirby, let me do it for you: Georgia has a gripe.”

Georgia is slated to finish out on a high note against UMass and Georgia Tech.
