Joel Klatt is a big believer in former Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson.

Klatt ranked Richardson No. 3 on his quarterback big board for the NFL Draft behind Bryce Young and CJ Stroud. However, Klatt said there’s a path for Richardson to become one of the best quarterbacks in the entire league.

He compared him to a Rubik’s cube when talking about his untapped potential.

“If you can complete Anthony Richardson, he’s got the traits that would make him one of the best players in the entire league,” Klatt said. “Because of his size, his speed, his arm strength, this guy is the total package. He would be the best player on the field if you could figure it out. If you could unlock him. Is it gonna take some time? Probably. There’s a lot of things that need to go right.”

Here’s video of Klatt’s full analysis:

Klatt also said he could be a better version of Josh Allen is he’s able to improve on some of his weaknesses.

Richardson is currently projected to be a 1st round pick in the 2023 NFL. In Mel Kiper Jr.’s latest mock, he projected the Seattle Seahawks to trade up to No. 9 and select Richardson.

The NFL Scouting combine is ongoing this week in Indianapolis. The NFL Draft will be held from April 27-29.
