Kentucky 5-star freshman Chris Livingston has been steadily making strides in his time with the Wildcats, something head basketball coach John Calipari only wants to see him do more of moving forward.

“Just continue on this path he’s on,” Calipari said when asked about Livingston after the game. “He mixes it up. The only reason I took him out, he left the best shooter in the court, he left him, and they made a 3. I said, I don’t care about you missing shots, but this game is too close to have you not realize you’re not leaving that guy. I said, You’re fine, but we’re trying to win the game. I told him after.

“At the end of the day you got to coach to win the game, not I wonder how he feels, how he feels,” Calipari said, via 247Sports. “Then they’ll go.”

Livingston saw action in 14 minutes of the Wildcats’ 69-59 victory over Yale Saturday, finishing with out 7 points and 2 assists.

How he makes an impact as the Wildcats continue to move through basketball season will be something watch as Livingston is projected to be an earlier NBA draft pick further down the line.
