John Parker Wilson spotted the defensive key for Alabama’s Week 10 game against LSU.
This game could help decide the winner of the SEC West since both teams have a 4-1 conference record. It will be a top 10 matchup and will have College Football Playoff implications for Alabama. In the initial Playoff rankings, Alabama checked in at No. 6. It will be important for Alabama to secure a road win on Saturday.

While appearing on WJOX’s “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning,” Parker Wilson discussed Alabama’s defensive game plan against LSU.
“If they could limit Jayden Daniels’ running ability in the running game, which is basically most of their rushing attack. He is the team leader in rushing,” Parker Wilson said. “Take away that running game from Jayden Daniels and make him just drop back and throw the ball.”
Alabama will be challenged with limiting Daniels in LSU’s running game. In LSU’s Week 8 win over Ole Miss, Daniels accounted for most of LSU’s offense. He passed for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns. In the running game, Daniels rushed for 121 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns. In that win, Daniels rushed 23 times.
Nick Saban’s defense will likely try to decrease the number of rushing attempts from Daniels. Ole Miss managed to sack Daniels 4 times. Alabama will attempt to replicate the pressure that Mississippi put on Daniels.
