Facing the New England Patriots (3-0) in a pivotal AFC East matchup, it appears the Buffalo Bills (3-0) will have to attempt to comeback without their young quarterback, Josh Allen.

Allen, a former Wyoming Cowboy, was forced to leave the game after taking a brutal helmet-to-helmet hit from former Auburn Tiger Jonathan Jones.

Here’s video of the play:

After a visit to the medical tent on the sideline, Allen was able to jog to the locker room but remains in the league’s concussion protocol. Former USC Trojan Matt Barkley is now in at quarterback for the Bills.

Selected with the seventh overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Allen starred for Wyoming from 2015-17. Completing 56.2% of his passes, he threw for 5,066 yards and 44 touchdowns during his time in Laramie.

Signing with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2016, Jones played for Auburn from 2012-15, registering 129 tackles (3.5 TFL) and seven interceptions.

The game is currently winding down on CBS.
