Doneiko Slaughter played like the defensive player of the game in Tennessee’s 44-6 win over Kentucky last Saturday night.
The Vols full on embarrassed the Wildcats behind a suffocating defensive effort, led by a couple huge plays from Slaughter. Head Coach Josh Heupel has definitely taken notice.
He joked Wednesday night on “Vol Calls” that Slaughter might have to move to offense because he’s been so good at all 5 spots in the secondary.
#Vols coach Josh Heupel on Doneiko Slaughter: He’s been so good at all five spots in the secondary. Maybe we should let him play offense, too. I love that kid.

Slaughter forced an interception and picked off Will Levis once on his own in what was his best game as a Vol last week.
The secondary will need that boost from him moving forward as the Vols travel to Sanford Stadium to battle against No. 3 Georgia this weekend.
Big one coming up, Tennessee fans.
