Josh Heupel was visibly at a loss as to why Jaylen Wright’s run on fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line in overtime of the Music City Bowl was not ruled a touchdown.

Wright appeared to extend the ball far enough to cross the plane, but the play resulted in a turnover on downs giving the ball to Purdue. The Boilermakers won the game 48-45 with a field goal.

“They said the forward progress had been stopped,” Heupel said in his postgame press conference, per 247Sports. “Sounded like the whistle blew after he extended the football.”
