Based on these clips, Tennessee fans don’t have to worry about Josiah James failing to live up to the hype.

If you aren’t familiar with the name, James is Tennessee’s five-star basketball signee — the first of the Rick Barnes era on Rocky Top. The 6-foot-6 combo guard ranks as the No. 16 overall prospect in the nation and South Carolina’s No. 1 recruit in the 2019 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The McDonald’s All-American recently played the final home game of his high school career for Porter-Gaud School in Charleston and he decided to go out with a bang for the home crowd. James could make a highlight reel out of the plays he made in this game alone.

James is the headliner for Tennessee’s 2019 recruiting class that features three-star Knoxville forward Drew Pember of Bearden and three-star Virginia forward Davonte Gaines of Hargrave Military Academy. Barnes’ program also holds a commitment from 2020 four-star Corey Walker, the nation’s No. 32 prospect in his class.
