Judd Utermark made sure Ole Miss got the win on Tuesday.

The Rebels faced Arkansas State in midweek action. It was 2-2 in the 10th before Utermark launched it over the fence in left-center field to walk it off.

It was Utermark who broke the scoring ice. He stole home in the 4th inning to put the Rebels up 1-0. In the bottom of the 7th, ASU turned a double play that allowed Owen Paino to cross the plate.

Ole Miss looked like it was on track for a shutout victory. In the top of the 9th inning, Arkansas State struck for a pair of unearned runs without a hit.

The Rebels were unable to end it in the bottom of the 9th and ASU put up another 0 in the top of the 10th inning.

As the final score of 4-2 suggests, neither team was particularly hot at the plate. Ole Miss did not have a multi-hit performance in Tuesday’s win. Utermark’s 2-run homer accounted for the only RBIs. Cason Tollett had ASU’s only multi-hit game with a 3-for-5 day at the plate.

Ole Miss used 7 pitchers on the day. Alex Canney had the longest outing, going 3 scoreless innings, allowing 1 hit and walking 1 batter while striking out 4. Gunnar Dennis got the win, throwing 1 inning.

Eastern Kentucky is up next for the Rebels, as the 3-game series begins Friday in Oxford.
