Julius Marble II, a Michigan State power forward, entered the transfer portal just under 2 weeks ago, and on Monday announced plans to play in the SEC.

Marble committed to Texas A&M after he played in 90 career games for the Spartans over the past 3 seasons. This past year, he appeared in all 36 games and made 4 starts. During the 2020-21 campaign, he started each of the final 9 games and made 27 total appearances. The 6-foot-9 and 245-pound forward has 2 years of eligibility remaining.

Marble will look to build on a career where he averaged 6.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game and averaged just under 14.5 minutes per contest. He scored in double figures 6 times, including a season-high 18 points in a 64-62 loss to Northwestern.

For Marble, it’s a homecoming of sorts as he’s from Dallas.

Coming out of high school, Marble averaged 16.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game, and racked up 13 double-doubles over the year, including 4 consecutive double-doubles in the final 4 games of his high school career.
