Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide made a statement on Saturday, sealing a tough road trip into Madison and knocking off the Wisconsin Badgers in a dominating 42-10 victory.
Alabama dominated on both sides of the ball putting up 407 yards to total offense while limiting the Badgers to just 290 total yards, allowing them to convert just 3 of their 14 attempts on third down and forcing 2 fumbles.
While the win was an early statement for DeBoer and the Crimson Tide, the first-year Alabama coach did provide a few key injury updates in the press conference after the victory.
The most notable was safety Malachi Moore, who was taken to the medical tent and then to the locker room with an apparent head injury. DeBoer confirmed Moore is now in the concussion protocol.
Sophomore RB Richard Young suffered an apparent leg injury in the fourth quarter and was seen in a walking boot according to reports. Linebacker Qua Russaw also left the game in the second quarter with an apparent ankle injury and was helped off the field by trainers.
DeBoer said both Young and Russaw will be evaluated this week — but as of now —their status remains unclear.
Alabama does have a bye week next week before one of the biggest games of the season, when the Crimson Tide host No. 1 Georgia on Sept. 28.
