Kalen DeBoer got to see up close and personal how special freshman wide receiver Ryan Williams was during the 2024 season. The star reciever finished with 48 catches, 865 yards and 8 touchdowns, showcasing the type of potential that could help him become a star at the next level.
As he heads into his second year in Tuscaloosa, DeBoer is excited to see what is next for Williams as he enters his sophomore campaign.
“We saw what he could do during this season,” DeBoer said. “I know he has much higher goals than what he accomplished this year, that is individually and as a team. I am really excited to see him take the next steps as a leader now. He is going to take care of his business and do what he needs to do, and we are going to be there help him refine the things that are going to make him the best of the best. He is a team player through and through.”
Alabama will look to bounce back as the Crimson Tide failed to reach at least 10 wins for the first time in 17 seasons, and Williams figures to play a huge role in that.
