Kalen DeBoer provided an update on a number of Alabama’s injured players ahead of the Crimson Tide’s upcoming matchup against the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Wide receiver Kendrick Law was forced to miss Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt with a lower-leg injury and fellow wideout Kobe Prentice was sidelined during the game against the Commodores after taking a hit to the head.
Both players are making positive progress, according to DeBoer.
“Both of them out here going through workouts,” DeBoer said on the SEC coaches teleconference on Wednesday. “On track like we thought they should be, making progress toward the weekend. Wouldn’t say that they’re full-go yet, but they’re on pace, we had hoped. So getting some work in, some individual and some team work there too, so it’s progressing along and they’re doing a good job.”
One player DeBoer has completely ruled out for the weekend is linebacker Yhonzae Pierre, who posted a photo from a hospital bed Tuesday. The details of his injury remain undisclosed.
The redshirt freshman has posted 2 tackles and a pair of PBUs to this point in the season.
Kalen DeBoer says Kendrick Law and Kobe Prentice are going through workouts and “on track like we thought they should be, making progress toward the weekend.” He says they’re not a full-go yet.
