Kalen DeBoer is getting ready for Year 2 as the head coach at Alabama, and he is looking to get the Crimson Tide back into the College Football Playoff conversation.

One of the biggest reasons for optimism is receiver Ryan Williams, who was a superstar last season as a 17-year old freshman. Williams will be one of the best receivers in the country, but he isn’t the only talent at that position.

The Crimson Tide have talented receivers coming in with Lotzier Brooks and Derek Meadows, who could both contribute this year. When asked about those players, DeBoer didn’t hide his excitement.

“I really think we nailed it with the freshmen we brought in,” Kalen DeBoer told reporters on Monday.

Both of these receivers were 4-star recruits according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, but they complement each other and Williams well. Both players were ranked in the top-200 nationally.

Brooks is a 5-foot-9, 170 pound speed receiver who does a great job of making plays after the catch. Meadows, on the other hand, is a 6-foot-5, 200 pound receiver who can use his size and skillset to high-point the ball.

There is a ton of talent at the position for Alabama and the future of the wide receiver room for the Crimson Tide appears to be in great shape.
