Kam Pringle will be one-and-done at South Carolina, according to a report.

The former 4-star prospect has decided to enter the transfer portal, per 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz. Pringle spent just 1 season with the Gamecocks in 2024 and played sparingly, but was one of the highest-rated offensive line recruits of the Shane Beamer era so far.

Pringle redshirted in 2024 so he still has all 4 years of eligibility remaining. Per Pro Football Focus, Pringle played just 6 snaps last season on South Carolina’s offensive line.

It’s a disappointing outcome for the Gamecocks, who won a very competitive recruiting battle to land Pringle out of Woodland High School back in the class of 2024. He had offers from programs such Tennessee, Clemson, Ohio State, LSU and plenty other top teams.

Pringle was the No. 180 overall prospect and the No. 15 offensive tackle in the country for his recruiting cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He was also the No. 3 player from the state of South Carolina and the 5th highest-rated prospect in this class for the Gamecocks.

South Carolina is coming off of a 9-win season in 2024 but will be looking to build on that success this fall. South Carolina has already added 3 offensive line transfers to its 2025 recruiting class, but it’s possible another could be on the way to replace Pringle.
