With Oklahoma and Texas set to leave to join the SEC next season, Big 12 fans are taking every opportunity to poke fun at that fact. After Kansas took a 14-0 lead over the Sooners following a Daniel Hinshaw Jr. touchdown run, the Jayhawk faithful began the famed “SEC! SEC!” chant during the point-after-attempt.

Oklahoma withstood Kansas’ early punch to respond with a Dillon Gabriel touchdown run to cut the KU lead in half. The game currently sits in a weather delay during the second quarter.

The Jayhawks took Oklahoma to the wire in 2022, falling 52-42 in Norman. But, they have not taken down the Sooners since a 20-17 home win in 1997.

Texas and Oklahoma figured to receive plenty of attention from opposing fan bases this season in the Big 12, but up to this point, the only defeat suffered between the teams came at the hands of the other. The Sooners will have to survive the rest of this game against Kansas, while Texas will host 5-2 BYU at 3:30 p.m. ET later on Saturday.
