Kaylee Hartung is returning to the sidelines. The former SEC Network contributor has been hired by Amazon as a sideline reporter for Thursday Night Football, which features Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit in the booth. The games will be streamed via Amazon Prime.

“We are thrilled to announce these new additions to our Thursday Night Football team. Kaylee Hartung will bring her world-class reporting skills to our game coverage every Thursday and Super Bowl winning Pro Bowlers Andrew Whitworth and Aqib Talib are proven champions who will bring their unique insights to our NFL coverage every week,” Marie Donoghue, Prime Video’s VP, Global Sports Video, said in a released statement.

Hartung, who was born in Baton Rouge, joined ESPN in late 2012. She first worked for the Longhorn Network before joining the SEC Network as a contributor to SEC Nation. Hartung covered the College Football Playoff and College World Series as a sideline reporter for ESPN.

Hartung left ESPN in May 2017 for a position with CNN. In 2019, she left CNN for a position with ABC News.

“This is an unbelievable opportunity to return to the sidelines and create something new in the sports landscape,” Hartung said, via Amazon. “Prime Video is bringing together legends in broadcasting and the NFL and it will be a tremendous privilege to work alongside them.”
