Kayshon Boutte, a rookie wide receiver with the New England Patriots after a standout career at LSU, joined a chorus of critics that have raised concern over the Tigers’ defense.
LSU fell 55-49 to Ole Miss in Week 5 after giving up over 700 yards of total offense. It entered Saturday’s game against Missouri looking to get back on track.
So far, that hasn’t quite happened. Missouri has opted to primarily go through the air during the 1st half as it’s run 23 pass plays versus 6 run plays. Brady Cook has made the most of it, completing 17 of those passes for 216 yards and 2 touchdowns as Mizzou holds a 25-17 halftime lead. It scored touchdowns on its first 3 drives and has been moving the ball well.
Boutte had a short, but to-the-point post on X with his impressions of how things have been going so far:

LSU must make adjustments in the locker room to avoid falling further behind. Otherwise, it will see another loss added to its ledger.
