Kelvin Taylor gives Florida rare 1,000-yard rusher in Citrus Bowl vs. Michigan
Florida running back Kelvin Taylor became just the fourth UF running back to rush for 1,000 yards since the turn of the century in the Citrus Bowl against Michigan on Friday.
Taylor, who entered the game with 985 yards, hit the mark on his eighth carry of the game with a little less than seven minutes to play in the second quarter. The 7-yard run gave him 1,005 yards at the time.
Taylor joins Mike Gillislee (1,152 in 2012), Ciatrick Fason (1,267 in 2004) and Earnest Graham (1,085 in 2002) as the only other Florida running backs to hit the plateau since 2000.
Born and raised in Gainesville, Talal joined SDS in 2015 after spending 2 years in Bristol as an ESPN researcher. Previously, Talal worked at The Gainesville Sun.
