Prior to the start of yesterday’s game, when skydivers carrying American flags parachuted onto the field before kickoff against Louisiana-Lafayette, a student’s drone hovered behind the scoreboard over the west end zone.
It eventually crashed in the stadium, but not before being in airspace close to heliports at nearby UK Chandler Hospital and Baptist Hospital.

School spokesman Jay Blanton told the AP via email that the drone was recovered near the suite level in Commonwealth Stadium. The email also added that there were no injuries or damages to the newly renovated facility.
School officials have talked to the student, and police are considering what steps to take next.
