Tied with the Tennessee Volunteers and Vanderbilt Commodores at the bottom of the SEC East standings, the Kentucky Wildcats could badly use a home victory over the Missouri Tigers on Saturday.

While Kentucky’s 3-4 record does not jump off the page, the Wildcats are 3-1 in 2019 at Kroger Field. Looking to ride that home-field advantage to their second conference win of the season, the school released a hype video on Friday.

Via Kentucky football’s official Twitter account:

Falling to the No. 10 Georgia Bulldogs, 21-0, on October 19, Kentucky has been forced to play junior wide receiver Lynn Bowden Jr. at quarterback due to a season-ending injury to junior Terry Wilson.

A quarterback during his days at Warren Harding High School in Youngstown, Ohio, Bowden unsurprisingly struggled in Athens, completing just 2-15 passes for 17 yards.

On the bright side for the Wildcats, redshirt junior Sawyer Smith, a Troy transfer, appears to be available vs. Missouri.

Appearing in four games this season, most recently on September 28 against South Carolina in Columbia, Smith has connected on 54-117 attempts for 665 yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions.

Missouri, on the other hand, is in favorable standing at 2-1 in conference play. The Tigers are looking to rebound themselves, however, after dropping a game to Vanderbilt in Nashville on October 19.

Saturday’s action from Kroger Field in Lexington will kick at 7:30PM ET on the SEC Network.
